Here is the video of me spinning out coming around turn 2 at Thunderhill. This was about 3 laps in on the first session. Tires were still a little cool and I was being dumb and over aggressive after finally getting a point by from a group that was refusing to do so.

[ame="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u5rgso7U8Hc"]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u5rgso7U8Hc[/ame]

On the bright side, I finally got a spin at speed under my belt and the anxiety of it is gone.

I.was thinking of registering on sat, but if you're going sun I might as well join and meet you!! Btw, I've never registered with this company, do you have to have recorded track time before? And on the registration form it says ”car number”, do you know what they are referring to?

awesome looking forward to meeting you! you dont need to have recorded time or anything like that.
the "car number" is just a number you put on the car so they can identify you on the track.

You would need to work that out with the organizing body. Usually, they will ask for three different number requests from you. If your first choice is already in use by another driver then they try your second choice, and so on.

Alright, awesome. last question...

At the registration page when you click the day you want, there is also this option for $20....

Reserved First Canopy Parking (Per Day)

What is it? Did you get a canopy?? It's suppose to be close to 100 degrees Sunday :/

Definitely recommend the covered parking area if you can get it. Stays much cooler and if you bring a folding chair you can stay in the shade.

wish i had the camera ready at that time.

SPOILER ALERT:

hearing the tires screaming from the turn 11, 12, 13, we all stood up, waiting for someone to come out... then boom, a white brz with a black tail shotgun out of the turn.

it was epic!

(waiting for the video)

we were wondering if u were ok. 5 min later u were at the spot to make sure u get a ride with @RehabJeff86, 86s' most wanted ride-along driver

From the looks of it I'm guessing it was lift off oversteer (from facing an uncomfortable track out) combined with increasing steering lock to hold the car into the corner (since you apexed about half way through the turn) which resulted in the spin?

Since you showed your mess-up I will show mine (from about a month and a half ago at Buttonwillow): [ame="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wig-xiC5dpY"]Spin at Buttonwillow (1CW) while exiting the esses at 100 Mph - YouTube[/ame]
Short story, several small mistakes led to me dropping the right rear wheel off the pavement at 100 MPH.
