Don't think he was talking about going stock for stock either...

Its hard to say really, the FT-86 is still in concept form. The GT-R would have the straights for sure but it'll be interesting to see how the 'low center of gravity' that Tada keeps clamoring about will perform on such a road. 300hp might be all it needs to keep ahead.

Just like trueno, I'm eagerly awaiting such videos. It'll be interesting to see what cars they put it up against.

This thread is funny as hell. You guys are arguing if a CONCEPT CAR that is hoping to be around 20k will be able to hang with or beat a poor mans super car that runs around 90-100k. I'm sure given their intentions it will probably be a fun little car, stock for stock, I doubt it will even be able to keep up with an S2000 in any of those areas, let alone a GTR. Modified however, ehhh I'm guessing it's going to be the same thing. By all means I'd love to see this car go far above and beyond expectations, but it's only speculation at this point. So as it sits, we've got nothing to argue about.

I can't wait to see some new pics of the FT. I hope we get a bunch this weekend from the Tokyo Auto Salon. I went there in 1999 and hope to go again next year.

Just one correction, there's no Kei Office anymore. DoriKin sold it to ORC in '05.

Also I don't think, Amuse or Mine's haven't done Boxer engine tuning recently. Mine's make ECU for it, but I haven't seen really tune Amuse or Mine's STI. JUN's yellow STI was crazy tuned, same with MCR, HKS and of course CUSCO too... but of course that doesn't mean they're not going to. I'm pretty sure they're going to.

I can't wait to see is Tomei's FT-86. They have been tuning Boxer engine like crazy, so I know what they're doing (that's been proven by Tarzan Yamada & STI). Also another dark horse is EXIT. They make nice N1 boxer engine too (same goes with CRUISE).

I find this post funny, because he calls us funny for arguing, then creates a counter-argument, ergo joining the argument, and becoming part of the laughingstock he was so laughing about.

So, welcome to the club.

You know.. I think I've made just this type of paint on any NSF game I've ever played.. or at least tried, on the older games.
Hot-rod red with pink candy highlights...
Sexy.

Have to repeat most of your comments, this car is stunning! The exterior and interior is perfect and the specs are also.

Its great that this car is small and light, for example compared to the really big Hyundai Genesis Coupe. So 200 horse power is enough for me. I hope it will stay a 4seater, because it has to be a daily driver, so if neccessary you can pick up some friends...

Do you guys think toyota will have the courage to build this aggressive little thing? I´m really scared that the final version will look boring, as the other toyotas the last years

TOYOTA, BUILD THIS DAMN CAR! Please!!

Apart from the discussion if a production version will look close to the concept -> i cant find a thread with any info if its 100% safe that the FT86 will made it into production at all. Is it?
