Started taking the outside instead of inside line to pass the CRZ on the first corner and shaved off .2 seconds. I can still improve in some corners where I excessively screech my tires.

Tried a bit with my Fanatec 911 Turbo S wheel, but I'm so out of practice that it was just a terrible performance on my part... So I just went with the DualShock 3 instead. Manual, all assists off other than ABS set to 1.

Less tire screech this time but bounced off the rev limiter (shifted late) in one corner then shifted a couple ticks before the rev limit (early) in another. Still hunting down those tenths.

1:06.619 for the lazy. I don't have a place to upload to on my gallery other than Drop Box.

Got a little faster, I think I can do a 1:06.2 if I didn't slow down so much on the last turn. Can't imagine shaving off an entire second off my time.

A little tip for you all, the very first corner when passing the CRZ, you have to keep the car straight towards the zig zag as close to the wall as possible and as soon as you pass the second big white ad on the left side you immediately apply the brakes 100% and when you start to creep up to the CRZ's rear bumper you let off the brake applying 10% braking to avoid understeer whilst slowing down trying to drop your speed at 56mph in 3rd gear. When you get on that CRZs ass try not to immediately turn the wheel but do a smooth right turn but not too much turning(You will know when you are turning too much if your tires start screeching and turning red which means you are understeering). You then slowly apply the accelerator and judge when you should apply full throttle based on if your car is headed towards the barrier or not.

Shit, hope this helps a little lol

I was able to do this and got under 22 seconds at the 1st checkpoint a few times (which I've done before but very rarely). But that narrows the gap with the VW to the point where I can't avoid hitting its bumper through the middle of the tight chicane. And it's just quite difficult reproduce consistently with the standard controller (I imagine it's easier to make fine adjustments with a steering wheel/pedals). Currently finding ways around this lol but your advice made sense and is helpful

I loaded up ferooz's ghost for my runs. Obviously that helps a lot. Still wasn't able to break the 1:06 barrier.

You can load someone else's ghost? Seems like cheating... Please tell!
