Motec CDI mounting brackets made, made some cosmetic changes to the Racer X control arms, thermo-fans wired in, test fitted the hood to make sure clearances were all ok, and plumbed the BOV in.

This build is SICK! I've been wanting to do this since I first read about the 86..

Question: Why not route the piping thru the hood latch beam to make the piping shorter? Essentially having both FMIC end tanks pointing up instead of out the sides? Wouldn't that shorten the charge piping, allowing even quicker spool? (Not like you really need that..)

How is this being tuned? MoTec?

I just like the traditional cross flow intercooler look, plus I think it flows better this way. Again, not that it really matters, spool wont be an issue

Stock MAF is useless above 200kw, so it's ditched.

We have IAT under the supercharger before the runners and a 4 bar MAP on the runners to the cyls on the left hand side of the car.

I'm at 370kw and I still have my stock maf. I do have a 4 bar map as well, I'm just wondering if the motec allows you to delete the sensor

The sensor's flow rate is maxed out at around 200kw in 3" pipe and 240kw in a 4" pipe anyway, so it'll just be reading max for your car as soon as the turbo comes on.

I am not a tuner, but I assume we all the important data will come from the MAP

Most tuners run the car off the map over a certain boost level, I'm just curious if they found a way to delete it entirely cause that could help drivability
