Yep. Been a patron of his for several months. Seems like a really nice guy and a heck of a pilot.

Anyone know how to remove that black caulk junk around the fuel tank cover? That stuff is nasty, and gets everywhere.

Putty knife and patience.

I just left it in place and put the new stuff over the top. Wasn't worth it for my level of patience.

Yep, we have cottonwood trees around here. They are a mess. Not only do they shed a lot of fluff, they are not worth anything to burn (they burn too fast in a fireplace or stove).

We had a large (3 feet diameter) cottonwood tree in the middle of several tall pine trees in our side-front yard. The large leaves would fall and "stick" to the driveway when wet.

I had it cut down and hauled off. Took this guy and his wife all day to do the job (a 2' section at a time). No way (place to fell it).

The fellow ask if I wanted for him to bring in a stump grinder to get rid of the stump because It would continue to grow shoots. I said no, I'd take care of the stump.

How? Well this was back in my "change my own oil days". I simply poured the used oil on the stump and the pithy wood would absorb the oil like a big ol sponge. The tree finally gave up trying to regrow.

Was away at my family's property in the southern Cariboo this weekend. Got placed on evacuation alert (could be told to leave with 20 mins notice) due to some reasonably sized fires 6km to our south and 9km to our north. Was out on the paddleboard and could see both fires when in the middle of the lake.

We left a day early because it started getting really smoky.

Not good news considering July just started and there are 2.5 months of hot dry weather ahead.

Shaping up to be a really bad fire season again...

Just renewed the BRZ's registration for another 2 years. With having the car for 7 years now, it is already the longest I've owned a car. While I still really enjoy driving the thing, in no way does sunk cost fallacy play into my decision to keep it even longer. Nope. Not at all.

Also I ended up buying new (smaller) wheels anyway.

I find it frustrating (and a little bit interesting but only a little bit) when I get a very short loop of music playing in my head. I know I know the track but the loop doesn't go for long enough for me to identify it. And as soon as I try to hum it out loud for Spotify it gets completely corrupted. Trying to remember doesn't work, I just have to try to ignore it until I randomly remember what it was.
Weird how minds work (or don't).

This song plays a few times a day at work. So that's why it get's stuck in my head unfortunately.

I couldn't do that. 3 days in there would be pieces of speaker all over the floor. This is coming from a guy who deals with the production department playing Spanish music all day.
