We are lucky in being fans of these cars. As it seems that there is a direct correlation between the MSRP of the car and the cost of the Engine's modifications. Something less than $5000, for the entire package is just plane silly for me, that is sans labor. But if I were to buy the package I'm certain I could do all the labor myself from watching all those episodes of "Wheeler Dealers".

If I was looking at something like that for my Porsche, without labor, we would be looking somewhere up in the five figure range easily.

Yes, I agree. Audi, BMW, Mercedes, Porsche, etc.. Very, very expensive to modify (I owned a 2004 Audi S4 Avant at one point in time...).

Exactly!! highly priced car = high end price to modify.

I have paid for all the other modular stuff already (OFT, OFH, OP, FP, Q300 catback) so the $3800 entry price for the Vortech kit via OFT300 deal is very tempting to me to finalize the power package... The header and tunes might keep my satisfied for a while though once I get on E85. I wasn't even thinking about a Vortech SC before this, but now I'm tempted.

What if I have OFT but dont want your OFH because i like EL and i want the vortech sc with the ots map?

Is it possible to have it?
I mean if you dont allow ppl
With OFT to buy the sc without the OFH i dont see it really fair.

Adding the OFH and CBE allowed for more aggressive tuning which had power climbing until 7000rpm and holding it until 7500rpm. This was worth a peak hp gain of ~25whp with even bigger gains at 7500rpm. There were also power gains down low and in the midrange as well.

With the factory header in place, there seems to be a lot of heat and exhaust backpressure under boost at high rpm. This makes the engine more knock prone. Resolving that makes a pretty big difference to both power and knock resistance. And of course, sound quality. If I had to guess Id say the CBE contributes to 10whp of those gains. And 75% of the soundtrack.

And yes the pricing on our website includes the OFT Dollar discount (-$499). So it only applies to OFT customers (or those who purchase an OFT with the hardware). I believe Vortech sells their tuner kit (no tune) for $4298. I would absolutely recommend purchasing from them if you don't want an OFT and OFH. We are selling a system to ensure results. Those who want to run different headers or tuning options are better off purchasing a la carte from other vendors or Vortech themselves.

While we would love to have everyone as our customer, we are an engine management company first and foremost. Which is why the OFT is the cornerstone of our entire product line up. As long as we sell one to a customer, we can still afford to sell complementary hardware at heavily discounted prices. We like to treat our OFT customers well. It keeps them coming back for more

This kit looks very appealing. What would be the minimum supporting mods for those who want to track their cars during hot summer days? ( I am guessing oil cooler and radiator but wondering if I am missing anything)

Is clutch replacement a necessity from the very beginning?

@shiv@vishnu
Huh? Third option on the site lists the vortech by itself. It says for oft+ofh customers, but you dont get the OFT dollars with the OFH purchase anyway.

This....Why is everyone attacking Shiv? He offered a great package with multiple options. If you don't like his OFH then get the option without it.
