They probably didn't report it sold to TMS until June (explains the huge june number)

They could sell more right now if they imported more. The only twins available around here are automatics. The manuals move off the lot in a day or two. I have seen an auto stay on the lot for 6 weeks before selling.

It looks like Subaru and Toyota may have taken care of the initial demands for Japan first then the US and are now targeting Australia, Canada and Europe. Once those orders are filled then I would expect the flow into the US to pick up again. Unfortunately, that will be later in the year and with winter closing in sales on sporty cars will plummet through much of the US.

October and November should be a good time to get a decent deal on one of these cars.

You can thank moronic dealers for adding ugly wheels and other unwanted extras for many cars sitting on the lots more than a week or two.

Also, the dealers marking up the BRZ by 2-5K don't help either.

People don't want to deal with that crap, they just want to see the car, and buy it without all the unnecessary bs.

That was from the First 86 competition and if anyone canceled their order after winning the First 86 competition then someone else in line took it Im sure.

I live in Orlando and wanted a BRZ. Went to the local dealer and was pretty much told to forget about it - maybe next March I could get one. I then went to the Toyota/Scion dealership and got a manual FR-S in my color of choice within 3 weeks. I think Subaru screwed themselves allowing Toyota to get the lions share of production. I sure wish I had leather and a satellite radio in my Scion, but I LOVE this car!

august and july are the hottest months for most states, people dont want to test drive sun baked cars and be in the heat

most of these figures are un-test drven cars too, sell that many cars without a test drive is crazy..

Well I knew the scion would outsell it here in the states because at least when I watch TV all I see are FRS commercials and still haven't seen a brz one yet. So I think Subaru overall marketing is slacking in that aspect imo.
