Personally...I am a MT guy...

but a true Dual-clutch is freakishly smooth. I bet BMW did it right!

I've driven a Porsche PDK equipped car and a newer Mazda auto with the constant lockup, both are insanely fast (especially the PDK) but I hate it. Maybe it's cuz I'm a control freak and I think it's extremely strange to press buttons when I'm used to a gear lever. However like I said the M3's engine probably justifies the auto box. The highway fuel range with the manual is horrible, and it's the kind of car I like to think of as a good highway cruiser that can also do some corners.

I'm an MT guy too, but sometimes an auto is nice to have, especially for a DD.

Assuming the e46 M3 the OP also has is manual I think he has all his bases covered.

They did. Almost too smooth. Sometimes I enjoy a jolt

Of course. Do you have an Individual E93 M3? You don't see too many individual verts.

Sadly they weren't available... but it is rare... you don't see many base model 6 speed E93 M3s lol

Well I attended the first annual FT86Club Florida meet and won best of show at the Southeast86 Show and best forced induction at the 86Nationals before I sold my BRZ. I think I will enjoy the LSB/Rust Brown for a little while longer and then maybe get back in a BRZ.

Nope. The E93 is already so expensive so what is another $10k in options. My 2009 E92 M3 I ordered was as base model as you could buy. The only options were LeMans Blue paint and Carbon Leather trim. Loved dat speed cloth and single hump. Now I am in Extended Leather and double humper, haha.

Turbo Cayman, do it. Or a Cayman 3.8 swap.

Both of those have crossed my mind. I got to be friends with the owner of BGB Motorsports when I had my Cayman R and he knows alot about the Cayman 3.8 swap. You can get 10% off MSRP on a new 981S right now so that has crossed my mind as well. I have also considered a 228i/M235i and of course the new M4. I am always looking.
