Shiv,

Are there any known bugs with the D00C maps with FLKC and KC?

http://datazap.me/u/cookiesowns/augu...zoom=3231-3485

Or is my car just not running right?

Don't know if others have experienced this, but after tune I seem to have to give the pedal a lot more gas in order to get the car moving in first.I was on some hills after flash and I stalled more than a couple times because I was not used to this

I have had the tune for about ... a week now, so I would assume the ECU has learned already?

not necessarily, Mine and I know one other person have had it take over 3 weeks to really dial it in. You may just have to wait it out. You could try to reflash it and try steve99s guides. My last 2 tunes have had a much quicker learning time. I think It really comes down to this: finish the tune. turn off ignition. turn on ignition but don't start, and just let it sit there for 30seconds or more (I did it for over a minute just to be safe, because I heard some kind of noise behind the dash that really sounded like a hard disk drive defragging, I just assumed it was the ECU learning). Then start and let idle for 5 minutes. turn car completely off.
the next step is is my superstition but it has worked for my last 2 tunes:
turn ignition on again and wait another 30 seconds or more, then slowly press the gas pedal to the floor and up 10 times(I do this slowly and watch the OFT data screen for the throttle). then start car and drive away.

ECU learns in minutes in most cases.

I don't know if you have and mods but here is a few things to check

OFT tunes make very little changes to the DBW (drive by wire) throttle tables the only changes in latest tunes are at high rpm.

Check your fuel trims, log your LTFT it should be less than 5% throughout rpm range.

Changing intakes can throw off maf scaling and cause hesitation

If your running big LTFT say 10% plus it can cause problems. Check for vacuum leaks in intake near maf sensor, check for exhaust leaks near o2 sensors or before o2 sensors if you have changes headers or intakes.

Scale your MAF sensor. (mass air flow) if fuel trims over 10% and no leaks.

Check you IAM (ignition advance multiplier) it should be solid at one. If its less than 1 run better fuel try different brands of fuel or octane booster or change your tune for the lower octane fuel version.

Log your tune see the link below on logging and what to look for.

@Shiv@Openflash

finally i datalogged on Stage 1 93 Oct V2.01 map.
http://www.datazap.me/u/zc06kissther...log=0&data=1-8

since i had some traffic on highway, i was able to do only one pull on 3rd gear.
i realized i had AC on!!!!
i probably need to do it again without AC on.
I think my datalog is fine if i compare my old datalog?

I decided to try out the pipe in the box. I swapped out the cat on the EL Header for a straight pipe, I can clearly hear the noises in the exhaust others have described. I'm hoping it runs as well as with cat, it appears to be running cooler.
The car is not louder but has a distinctive exhaust pulse note, under the hood, not at the tailpipe. We'll see if she complains.

So I've got an occasional idling issue. I will usually see it with the A/C on at idle. Or as I'm coming to a moderately hard stop. Idle was rock solid on the 1.59 map, though I had a fully stock exhaust and inlet hose at the time too.

I'm using the E85 tune on a stock header, HFC + catted FP, and catback. Also have a K&N drop-in and Rev motoring inlet hose. Maybe when my UEL header comes in I can just run a UEL E85 tune and it'll go away...

I could record a log.

Post a log like before so we can see a comparo with cat and without on the header.

I was originally not going to tune but I think I want to now. What kind of gain/whp do you think I can expect with my current mods and adding a tune. Does it really make a worthwhile difference in daily driving?

Power mods consist of k&n drop in filter, uel header, and axleback. I run 93 always.

Absolutely worth it. If you already have a catless UEL header you will be able to run the UEL stage 2 map. Completely eliminating the torque dip and gaining roughly 15-19ish hp.

Edit: it's hard to discribe with words but the oft tunes make the car run much better. Way smoother idle and modulating te throttle is more accurate. I switched back to stock tune temporarily after being on stage 1 and the car feels clumsy
