Exclamation

My only issue upon inspection is to find that one of the side mounts is cracked. When I arrived home to find the box outside my door, the bottom of the box was split open and I am under the impression my package was not handled as well as it could have been by the shipping company.

Anyone else run into this? What should I do?

The one side is perfect, but as you can see the other is not. On the positive side of things, from the top, the damage does not seem to go very deep.

Sorry looks like UPS really screwed this one up. We'll get in touch with them first thing monday and see what recourse we have, it was fully insured. Parts are in stock at sprintex but you'll need a new plenum. I'm in touch with them now, but this box was 100% intact before leaving. This is the second time UPS blew it for us this week so we'll do our best to have a quick resolution for you. Hard to imagine this thing was hit so hard as to knock the casting to this degree....must've been a rough ride.

UPS sort facilities are not friendly places. My brother worked at one part time and he said they literally just threw packages around....fragile ones too.

Thanks @moto-mike; I have sent you an e-mail direct to Moto-East with pictures of all the noted damage.

Anyone have the gates part numbers for the idler pulley and 75mm belt? Got some squeaking and want to stamp it out.

I was a seasonal helper one year. Drivers are the same. "Fragile" means nothing. They are under tremendous pressure to keep that shit moving so the standard excuse is "Insurance will cover the damage."

That thing was dropped hard.

K061015 is the p/n I am running. Stock size works fine on the 70mm. I keep a spare one under the trunk mat with a 14mm wrench in case it snaps on the highway, but have not had any issues after 8,000 miles on the 70mm

Trying the k061010 from my search. Gotta love Amazon next day delivery. The supplied belt had a bit more slack than I like when twisting it.

Perhaps its time to consider a different shipping company? That's unacceptable for anyone to do that to a package... I understand getting it somewhere quick but not at the expense of damages. Thankfully it was fully insured but that doesn't take care of the headaches dealing with it.

Respectfully, I recommend a more supportive packaging process. With the sensitivity of the compressor internals the whole thing should be better padded. I'd bolt the intake manifold to a slightly oversized wooden beam to prevent buckling and use bags of that expanding foam stuff all around. Rough handling and drops during shipment are a given no matter who the carrier.

Anyone run a vented hood for their supercharger? Looking at the RKSport hood to pull more air.
