You do you man. It is not going to be cheap but it sounds like you are aware of that. I love the Sunny pickups. They are like mullet Skylines.

I personally could never restore or own anything nice. The desire to drive it would be too overpowering.

Haha I doubt I'll be able to resist, but the goal isn't to make a garage queen. I'm hoping to have a really nice driver that I can take out whenever I want. Maybe commute to work in it occasionally. The main reason I want to restomod is so I can have what is basically a brand new old car.

I new a guy that did a '69 Chevelle with one of these frames with the multilink independent rear end with an LS and 6 speed. Drove like a modern Corvette. Super cool.

I am not a fan of either generation of these Fords but I really like what people are doing by taking old F100 bodies and putting them on crown vic frames with running gear. Would be a great parts getter.

Was instagramming the other side of the 86 family late last night and a buncha kids on my page are going nuts over me ceramic coating the header and install process and I accidently started talking about anti drone Helmholz chambers and one guy said "did you just become my new best friend"

and Im like..... no... I didnt

I should charge for knowledge, but I would be sharking them because I know next to nothing. 13 years of modifying and I admit I still know nothing compared to guys like Sean Hyland or Dave Lemon ( rotary expert, mazdatrix)

I even had to break down how algebra works when converting 22 Ft-lbs to Inch-lbs.....

and the kid owns an frs? do they not teach math anymore?

its actually something I want to do with my Saab. it sits on a trailblazer GMT360 platform which is fully framed with 5.3 pre DOD motor and 4l60,
I figure I could look at an old square body and drop it on the frame and instantly have modern A/C traction control. 12 bolt rear with G90 locker and Id even try to put the Big cushy seats in it.

Yeah, basically my idea. I want a modern car that is only old in how it looks. My favorite, albeit craziest idea, is to basically stuff all of the underpinnings (and even part of the interior) from a new Miata under the body of an old RX-2/3/4. If anyone watches B is for Build, basically what they did when they stuffed an M5 into a 240Z, but only slightly less crazy.

This forum is the only social media thing that I do. It took me a while to figure out that I was wrongly assuming others' level of related experience. I've become quite picky about diving into issues that people bring to the table.

You really need to get some furniture if you expect us to come and visit.
