New teaser video. It actually looks great in this video. can't wait to see some comparison reviews when both these cars are on sale.

GC (sounds like gonorrhea) is too heavy and large for my taste. Cheap though.

A lot of people seem to hate the "face lift" of the new gc. I liked its looks before but love them now (despite the faux hood vents). Looks more modern and not as cheap, imo. I am hoping they fixed all the transmission problems they were having with the first gen coupe. All comes down to the driving experience and cost for me.

Corporation front. I'm getting sick and tired of that design already. Mercedes has similar design, but it ages better than this.

The genesis coupe will get a new look from the buyers if FRS is priced above $25K.
Bluetooth and sat radio are standard and there are probably other standard features that frs doesn't have. The only thing stopping me from buying one is the weight and extra dimensions.

This isn't a real image of the car. It was a chop released months ago during the summer when the first cell phones images leaked of the facelift. The proportions are not accurate in this image at all. Also, the specs listed are inaccurate. The car will make much more power than what's listed and will be called the 2013 not the 2012.

Also, I haven't heard any confirmation that this car will have an awd option. There were some images taken of the car doing some trials in the snow and everybody jumped on it saying it was awd. As far as I know they aren't going to have an awd option.

According to that picture which says Hyundai USA... it says it has both RWD and AWD drive options. And two different engines: 333HP/291 ftlb 3.8L V6 and a 210HP/233 ftlb 2.0L. "LET'S JUST STICK IN A TAD BIT MORE HP THAN SUBARU ON ALL THEIR CARS AND SLAP ON AWD TOO!"

I guess Hyundai is trying to use their GC to battle Subaru's STI, WRX, AND BRZ at the same time.

It probably would've looked better if they just stuck with using a black plastic frame across the nose like Mitsubishi, Subaru, and Audi does for their cars instead of that red painted one. But then it would just look like the FT86's ugly twin.

Hyundai gives new meaning with "Trying to kill 3 birds with one stone." Is this a genius strategy or a self destructing one?.... probably the latter

Want HP? I don't think it is hard to stick in a big enough engine *cough cough V6* and call it a day. This car feels more like a Ford than a Hyundai right now. When is the last time Hyundai has made a car better than the WRX STI? Top Gear says the BRZ is the best car Subaru has ever made and that's enough for me.

^ I don't think Hyundai is doing anything of the sort? :-s
They were providing an option to the lower capacity versions of the Mustang/Camaro and a low-rent option to the Nissan 370z/G37.

If you could find a quote from a Hyundai rep saying they are looking to compete with a WRX STi, then I will happily change my opinion. But I think you are off base.

I guess you do not know much about the Genesis coupe and didn't read what the person posting the pic said. Those numbers will soon be irelevant. That was just some inaccurate, naff, marketing one-pager. The car coming in 2013, the one that will compete for sales with the BRZ will have uprated engines and probably other dynamic improvements as well.
