You just have to learn how to cope. Go spend an afternoon with a 63 VW Bug on a windy day and then go appreciate how well the BR does.

Yup. No surprise that a lightweight car with skinny tires gets pushed by the wind. Had it last night, just gotta live with it. 30k miles later and still get pushed here and there.

Could also slow down...

When I drove up to 80mph yesterday on Blizzaks, the wind was pushing my car all over the place, so I slowed down to 60. Just slow down if wind becomes a problem.

I was heading NW and weather.com reported the wind to be W at 27 mph gusting to 38 mph

Good stuff, thanks everyone. I just wanted to make sure it wasn't something unusual going on with my suspension or tires.

I figured as much...light weight...higher winds...skinny (winter) tires...duh.

Thanks again

Like the other member, I owned 3 7th gen Celica's that never had this issue. Maybe it's partially due to the soft sidewalls of the winter tires, maybe my camber/toe is off slightly, I'm not sure, although I felt the juking even with PSS tires and after a good alignment guy had me on the straight and arrow.

Anyone else? Bueller? Bueller?
I used to drive a Yaris.
My wife drives a new Elantra.

This car feels like a rock in the wind compared to those.

What model 7th gen Celis did you have? GT-S?

Most of my previous cars were pretty solid (I.e. heavy lol) MKVI GTI, IS350, G35, Genesis Coupe V6, etc.

As for 7th gen Celica's, I had a 2000 GT (bought when they first came out), a 2003 TRD GT, and a 2003 TRD GT-S. Loved them all!

I still gawk at 7th gen Celicas when they pass by.
Mine was a used 2002 GT. Very fun car (engine somehow sounded so good you wouldn't believe it was shared with the Corolla)

I have the same issue as burrcold. This last week, toronto has had some pretty bad winds. My daily commute along the dvp(90kmph) during one of the windiest days this year was bad but it wasn't horrible. Not surprised as this car is light. Like others, i've driven lighter cars and its a lot worse lol(ie, yaris, corrolla)
