I just hate convertibles, and don't really fit.

The rare 2nd gen JDM coupe is something I would be all over if it had enough leg room.

I saw a Miata just today. First one in a weeks. Driven by a girl.

So there you go, 100% feminine. Sample size = 1.

We get it. Performance = masculine. Appearance = feminine.

I appreciate what it offers and I was close to buying one. I just can't get over the body styling. Get a S2K or FR-S.

This argument will go on for eternity.

I may be biased here but... I was a hater of miata before I've driven/owned one.

Just trying to point out that speculation, in and of itself, is pointless.

Why care about what other people think about what you drive. That is a horrible way to live life if you are a car enthusiast. According to typical stereotypes, since I own a

Miata - I must be gay or a woman
Mini Cooper - see above
Mustang GT - I must be a redneck with a mullet
Subaru Forester - I must be a lesbian

I didn't think a lot about Miatas, even though I saw them do well at autocrosses all the time, mainly because I didn't think I'd fit in one. When a friend bought one seven years ago and I spent some time behind the wheel (on the street and autocrossing), I went out and bought one of my own six weeks later. I'd let my BRZ go before my Miata if I had to thin down my fleet.

anybody who knows about rear travel in a miata can tell you that it is effectively broken. well, unless its on xidas or something but somehow i doubt that.

Saw some punk looking kid today walk past a parked Miata, he turns to his buddy or something and goes "dude, that thing is fuckin tiny". High schoolers tend to say that when they walk past my car too...

Hey, I take it as a compliment. Don't need a 10 foot long hood ala Merc SLS or Z4 to make up for my deficiencies.

my brother has a '99 Miata NB. its a very fun car to drive and is definitely not treated as a feminine car by other people who see it and compliment it.
