Might be the lighting, but it has a purple tinge to it. I think the two blues are going to be the colors you'll need to see in person to really get the full effect. Thanks for the pictures, btw. The shots are really clear!

I wanted to take more but that stupid rotating platform they put it on made it hard.

Are these HDR/cooked/otherwise post-processed?

Maybe editing too. It doesn't look natural to me, but the car looks pretty awesome in those pics.

Well I did tweak the highlights and lowlights a bit in PS, as well as contrast and upped the vibrancy and clarity. It could be a bit too PP'd I admit in hindsight.

It could also be the weird lighting in the show though. They had bright yellow-white spotlights shining on the cat on top of the white fluorescent lights of the convention center.

Having owned a wrb STI I can tell you that in low light, especially with some artificial city lighting, the paint starts looking like this. These pics might be a bit too contrasted though.

Its a great color. Has great depth for a 2-stage pearl.
