I'm just glad I was too broke to buy from him. I'll be turning my tuning needs over to fa20club when the time comes.

Yeah, you're telling me. Getting on the freeway for a night out with the wife, a woman not the car, and wham! engine bites the dust on the on-ramp! I was heart broken and pissed all at the same time.

Right now I'm NA, AVO kit occupying space on my living room floor, and I'm just sourcing parts for the reinstall. One of these days it'll be fast again, is what I keep telling myself, but I mostly hide from everything on the toad, dashing into corners with reckless abandon, hoping no one gives chase.

Yep, living the life, but as for JV. I can't wait till this sh/t catches up to him. I just wonder if any of the parts he sells are good. I mean if what he puts his name on as a tune is garbage, just think about the stuff he sells just to pad his pockets.

yeah, i wasn't blowing the roof off on it, and the funny part is, he didn't have to change the tune at all. He could have just kept dishing me the same crap he had been for months, and i would have been like well, there's no difference, and kept on bugging him, but he purposely leaned it to great ends, and cost me an engine.

Could try pulling it down with an OpenFlash tablet or something - wasn't Shiv able to pull down an FA20Club tune that way?

no, that's the beauty for the tuner, and curse of the customer. Why i loved my
Accessport and can't really stand EcuTek.

It all depends on whether the Ecutek tuner locked the map or not. If it's locked, you're not going to be able to pull it down with the OFT.

Wow it really takes a special kind of person to act like that.

I really wonder what my last tune from him would have looked like had I ran WOT.

Isn't there any way to hold him accountable if it can be proved that his tune was purposed to make the car run lean leading to engine failiure? I mean the tune would show what he had done right? Correct me if I'm wrong.

Post a log with the target air fuel ratio way too lean and/or the timing way to aggressive and post it too each and every forum that he sells on would be about the only way. There's small claims court, but good luck with that.

you'd have to have actually started logging to do that. At the time i wasn't, I don't hop in every time, and just start logging, especially not on date night.

"here honey, hold this laptop while i drive." - Doesn't go over well.

With EcuTek's ability to lock tunes, he'd have to unlock it, claim liability for damages during the confirmation log, and then repay me for that. We're talking over 3G's (used Ebay engine price) in damages that i'm sure he wouldn't want to be liable for.

Sometimes you get Vaseline when you get screwed, other times, Death Sauce.
