Karting on Wed. 1/30 @ Lemans in Fremont

Yes, one of the workers there with the track record drifts the track. Knowledgable kids that know how to work the track and cart - talk to them, they cool.

Off to coach my boys to play the Clippers now. Youth league bball coach . Greatest joy until March when the season is over...bummer.

Umigo is run by good people. I met the owner Jim once when my GF had a car show there. He's super nice, really laid back guy. The track was fun, but they do change it up often. I've been meaning to go back again since. Just needed some people to go with.

Well I think we are def going to Le Mans on the date listed in the first post, but that doesn't mean the Karting will stop there.

Looks like we lost out on Feb 6 aswell (yet another $$$ company event). I've got us "penciled" for Monday Feb 4 at 8, would that work for everybody? I would need to call back to confirm, etc. but wanted to check with people first.

The guy I spoke to was apologetic enough and offered to pencil me in (apparently, they don't usually do that and require a credit card to actually make a reservation), but I can't help but get ticked off having to speak to a different person every time, who has no clue what the hell I'm talking about and having to repeat what the issue was.

So I talked to a friend at GoKart Racer, and he can get us $10 off a race there or $5 off hot laps. So the total would be the same as Lemans plus we would not have to pay $20 for an annual license ($7 instead). Wednesdays are league nights over there though.

Oh fo-sho, I just wanted an excuse to go out karting again, lol. How bout starting a thread for karting #2 at Gokart racer sometime end of Feb? Its been a while since I've been there. I love the elevation change, but I seem to always lose momentum on that section, thanks to my...erm..."inferior" power to weight ratio.
