Also, and unfortunately, many of us live in car restricted California, so please keep that in mind. thanks..
just do cat back and suspension for now....

you could buy cat back exhaust, intake systems(questionable depending on turbo kit), pulleys.
Just stay away from buying headers and you should be good if you are planning on later adding a turbo kit.

+1 on suspension and some seat time. Perhaps a few autocross events to help build experience and confidence with your car!

When you say "moulded intercooler piping" does that mean wrinkle black plastic? Like stock looking? That would be perfect for CA guys wanting boost options. A turbo kit looks infinitely more attractive if it is stock looking or hidden from view. The placement, intake design and short piping of this kit looks like a good candidate for a sleeper CA kit.

Just retain the 2nd cat and this should pass (if the IC/intake piping looks stock).

Moulded, reinforced black rubber piping. Less issues with rubbing, noise (clanking against the body) and easier to fit. Also keeps heat out better.

This is *not* the FMIC for the BRZ, it's one we make for the Legacy and 08+ Impreza's. But you can see an example of the hoses we make for it:

can you guys post some more pictures of that turbo location?
I'm intrigued as to how well that turbo fits in there.

If you guys can't then I understand

Isn't there a shield on that location originally? iif so would it fit back in place, I would worry about water issues or scraping.

Man, I'm excited to see this. Even though there's no doubt that EL headers will provide more horsepower, it's great to see someone doing an UEL build!

I was wondering who would be the first to *SHOW* the stock legacy turbo position on a BRz

Looks Good Gentlemen.

Semi-official pricing: $3600.00 USD
That would be for the turbo, exhaust manifold, turbo outlet (to bolt up to standard exhaust), oil/water cooling system, fmic, intake pipe, and a base map (for tuning).

This may seem like a stupid question, and to be honest I haven't done an exact part comparison, but why is this so much cheaper than the AP kit?

It's not a stupid question, it's a valid one. People may assume it's because we are skimping on the parts. That's not the case at all, we can do the kits at that pricing because of the commitment we make towards them. We will be putting parts for the kits into our factory production line, and making a fairly significant investment towards tooling. We may not even break even on the kits in the first year. The idea we will be making the money back eventually. The kit will be RHD and LHD compatible as well, as we have operations in Japan, Australia, Thailand, and America.

We've been making turbocharger kits for cars for 30+ years, and are in this for the long haul. Our lineup of kits stretch from Toyota Landcruisers to the Mazda Miata, with a lot of other models in between.

Very nice. I like the location, but it makes me sad to see UQL manifold just because of the extra power the EQL makes.

But alas, it wouldn't be the first time I did something to add "character". :P
