I think the Lexus RC platform is more likely to be used for the FT-1.
There was a clear article and several supporting videos to explain this. I don't have time to hold your hand just do a search it exists and it's been discussed.

I told you to quit quoting me and move on please do so.

Lol, yesterday at small car gather we were having a chat about this. I was actually going to make a thread about what platform FT-1 would use. Looks like the OP just beat me too it. Unlike you I actually put in some useful info.

Just because someone says or writes something doesn't mean it isn't true. Its not a crime to lie on the net. We all know they need Subaru, if they didn't than why bother going to them in the first place. Again, this isn't the point of the thread but ok...

Lol I told you that first :p

Uh FT-1 most likely underpinning RC

I guess I'm also taking it a little personal, because if OP haven't make this dumb thread than I would have made one asking something similar (more on the side of the sub 86 car).

Post #2 was best response in entire thread and where it should have ended. Why anyone asks is that? Cause "only" Toyota and Subaru truly know these answers and only they are in charge of such decisions moving forward. The answers will be day these new (platforms) hit the floor of a showroom not likely any sooner.

I'll just agree to disagree how's that? Toyota would not ever have actually needed Subaru. However what Subaru had (made sense) for this car and that's obvious. That said sure I wish they had thought about using a FI specimen of Subarus however.

Actually agreed with you lol. But common sense says the RC platform will be used.

FT-1
Wheelbase: 107.9 in
Length: 184.1 in

Width: 77.6 in
Height: 48.2 in

Lexus RC
Wheelbase: 107.5 in
Length: 184.8 in

Width: 72.4 in
Height: 54.9 in

"Possibly" I'll give you that as it would make sense. Car shows next weekend so be interesting to see the RC up close, while the grill alone would make me not want that car.

And now I have too disagreed with you. The easiest way of getting niche products through the Toyota board is teaming up with another automaker to share time and cost with. And Toyota is going to be doing the same again with BMW.

Well sharing platforms; not design. But I have seen the RC in person, and I think it looks pretty good.

Yes I knew the new Supra or FT1 whatever they finally call it was a BMW venture. However will the final product be that? Who knows... All I know is that the final production unit better not sway too far from the concept. But I suspect it will...

It was rumored to be the BMW/Toyota car at first, but that was later discredited. BMW spokesman said the BMW/Toyota will be a roadster. (Most likely for Lexus a SC430 replacement)? At this in point time, the few cues we have are pointing to a in house FT-1.

I'll rather be a gymrat than an old fart...

lets reread some of the things you posted.

"Ya we know the difference. Do you know how to search this forum? If not sorry can't hold your hand, this has been discussed, hashed LONG ago, SEVERAL times and I'll just agree to disagree with you cause you just don't know. Please drive thru and have a nice day.."

"lol! Tough guy huh? ....Roids rot the brain so take it easy on em.. Don't want what you consider stupid responses? Don't create a dumb ass thread..."

i posted one simple question. if you don't have a useful insight than please leave. why troll and start something? it easier just to not click on the thread no? now if you do not have anything useful than please just move along pal.
