I don't think it's because of price... and even if it was, scion didn't keep the price low. Wasn't it designed as a low cost sports car from Toyota and Subaru?
I can only blame the individual for their bad taste, but scion sold it to him.

Really... Scion is toyotas low cost entry point for cars.. Aimed at the younger crowd to attract first time buyers and get them hooked on toyotas brand.
How many new Porsches or more expensive sports cars do you see being
Molested to this degree?

So he used the ~$1000 he saved over buying a brz and bought these terrible stickers and wing. Not to mention that where it is offered as a Toyota it has trim levels, some of which are pretty basic (read cheap). I doubt I'm right but I don't think I'm too far off...

I'm sure I can google image some... Money doesn't buy good taste.

Money doesn't buy good taste.. Agreed... But those who spend their money on more expensive toys.. Usually don't muck them up to look like they spent much less.. It's much less painful to sodomize a $24k car then a more expensive one..

Both cars are strikingly similar.

Except for those wipers, those wipers wouldn't look good on any car. Amazing that a wiper manufacturer brought them to market let alone someone actually buying them.

Lose the wipers and the pointless spoiler and they might have been able say Batmobile.

This just says "let's make a good looking car ugly".

I understand the urge to personalize, but, it would have been better to do nothing.

Everyone. Please. Stay classy.

Except he wrote the exact same thing in the "what did you do to your FRS today" thread back on 5/10. Post #1727...

Any custom job on any car can suck, I think it's up to the owner. Money doesn't buy class.

Or I'd say modern day 240... Atleast it has more performance potential.
