The more I follow this thread, the more concerned I grow about the FA20 engine. If Toyota couldn't get the DI right, who else would really have the resources to do so?

Our package of documentation and information we've gathered has been sent over to Subaru. We'll see how they respond to it.
We'll probably make it available to everyone later on down the line, but for now, we've been advised to keep it private. |

My car was in the shop for almost 2 months waiting for new DI's. If they go out on me again I will be getting a new car and not just keep getting them replaced regardless if they will warranty the powertrain up to 150k miles or 10 years.

I have been having issues with getting any parts from scion. When I have issues I go to Subaru and they actually have them and this week. Get parts from them and make Toyota give you the money back.

I am completely new to this forum, but i have been following it for over a year now. I'm not sure if this will help but the day after christmas i got my tail lights fixed. i had about an inch of water in the driver side one. Anyways when i looked at my service receipt at the bottom it said ecu updated. Now i dont know what it was for or if they knew about the DI problem back then. They just went ahead and did it without me knowing.
I've had my car for a little over a year now it only has 7500 miles on it and i have not had anyother problems with it yet " knock on wood" |

So is there a mileage range this happens at or is it like the idle/cel debacle where it happens at any mileage?
