Ugh. I think my mom pulled the small prime rib we had off at 135 but she likes it well.

My parents were the same with the tritip we had on Christmas Eve. They prefer medium well. Makes having steak difficult usually because as I've grown up I prefer medium to medium rare.

From the official rules of prime rib....

"Rule #11: Use a Thermometer!

Aim for 115 to 120°F for medium rare (125 to 130°F after resting), or 125 to 130°F for medium (135 to 140°F after resting). "
