Edelbrock Supercharger Bypass Valve
Hi I've got an Edelbrock E-Force Supercharger on my FR-S, and my Bypass Actuator Valve recently went out. I bought a new one from Edelbrock that will come in tomorrow and I was curious if anyone in the group has replaced it before? And if so I've got a few Questions:
1. How hard is it to replace? 2. Do I need to remove the supercharger or is it possible to replace the valve with it still on? 3. Are there any tips or anything I should be on the lookout for when I replace it |

2. It IS possible to change it with the Edelbrock still on, at least somewhere here on this forum there was a confirmation that it was possible. never personally tried to do it this way. 3. Follow the supplied instructions. Always use a battle buddy, and drink water. |

The brake booster line is always under vacuum. At full throttle that vacuum level goes down, which lets you use that same line for the bypass actuator. If you tie in the Manifold Absolute Pressure sensor into that line it will only see vacuum, not the absolute pressure in your manifold. Engine go boom as it goes super lean under boost. Connect the MAP sensor to the nipple on the back of the supercharger (after the scrolls where boost is present) that used to connect to the actuator. |

@B_T do you have any extra MAP relocation kits left? Taking a new job and might have the spare cash for one now.

Sorry, Think someone is in the process of buying the last one right now. If I don't hear from them by the end of the day, I'll let you know. The only one left is the slightly marred surface finish from the vice I had it in.

I'm about to install my Ptuning flex fuel kit this week. I already got my tune from CSG and at low gas ready for E85 post install. Any install advice from someone that's done it with an Edelbrock SC? Looks pretty straightforward and nothing obvious would need to be different with the SC but there is so much good info here I figured I'd ask since I didn't find anything in my searches.

Be careful routing the new fuel lines if they are the stock style hard plastic lines. They can crimp if you bend them too far.

It went pretty smoothly. Just mounting the "brain" on the bracket above the brake pedal was a pain. Nothing about the install including the injectors is any different because of the supercharger.

Wrapped up tuning with CSG Zach. If you are somewhere with 91 but have easy access to pump E85, 100% upgrade to flex fuel. Big change and at my altitude (5600') allowed me to go to the 3" pulley. Already burned through a tank of E85 finding excuses to drive it.
