Red FRS at my work parking lot... Wonder if its the same red one I saw on the road a while ago. I work at capital health. Was jealous as soon as I saw it! Soon.... Soon...

I can't wait to do Smokey or French/North Mountain in the BRZ, preferably outside of tourist season. It handled Kellys without any issue.

We finished HRT's a while ago, now we're just putting the boat back together. We're leaps and bounds ahead of where you guys were at this point, but it's still gonna be a long road. I found more wires Irving cut and didn't replace two weeks ago.

Yeah, we are still pretty ghetto'd up. The boat works, but, my god, what a mess.

Off to Boston tomorrow.

for you guys in NS... I am trying to learn about this opti-coat. Does anyone in halifax do it? I found something from the 'shine factory' that talks about platinum paint protection... is it at all the same thing?

I plan on getting a BRZ at some point, and trying to plan ahead. The shine factory has some sort of platinum rust, paint, sound, etc package. Is it worth it? I am new to all of this. Actually new to having a car worth caring about. I usually buy used and relatively older, and not really cars worth keeping mint anyway. Ex. I didn't care much to keeping my 2009 corolla in tip top shape, lol.

Yep I got the package at o'regan's. The permashine is... well a good and bad thing. It does protect your clear from minor scratches, but it scratches itself really easily. Also I didn't notice much of a difference in terms of cleaning up any easier.

They did a really nice job on the undercoat however. They did it exactly as per requested and you can't even tell the car was done if you're not underneath it.

I was just reading about that permashine actually. I wonder how it compares to the 'platinum protection' that I saw at the subaru dealer in moncton (which I think is the same as the shine factory I think).

I'll probably get something like that. Seemed to be about 1000$ (less with current promos) which included sound protection, rust, paint, etc. I'll admit I am not too smart when it comes to that stuff, but I figure its better than nothing right? If it claims to help UV and bird poop, then at worse it will at least buy me some time before I can give it a proper cleaning

Talk to John Davies at Shine Factory in Burnside. He is a car enthusiast and a member of ASCC and will treat you fair.

Anyone in NS able to get a window tint? I know when I moved back here from ON I had to remove a heavy tint on my car to pass inspection... It would be nice to at least have some sort of tint but it appears no tint is allowed, not even slight

Anything behind the driver is accepted by many shops that do MVIs. You'd be hard pressed to find one that lets the front windows/windshield go.

FWIW Superior Tint on Windmill rd (I think) is the place most people point me to. Seems they have a good rep.
