I am not a fan of pearl paint but it does make the car look more mature and classy. I've always bought white cars if I had the choice but never owned a pearl white before. It'll be interesting...

^The thing is it also has a matte texture which adds a customized showcar/sporty look. The matte brings out the subtle contours/character lines that normally become hidden in standard, basic white paint. A hint of pearl is there so it doesn't look too cheap. I'd be very surprised if this makes it into final production looking like the photos above.

I think others have pointed out that it has a glossy finish not matte since it's used on most of the current subarus. I've seen satin pearl white in person on a 2006 STI limited. It's got a lot of pearl flake so depending on the lighting it has the illusion of matte pearl finish.

I love SWP but I think the FRS wont have it. We've only seen the TRD with it so far.

All in all, If the FRS comes in SWP I will choose that faster than a tall guy at the park to play bball

I hate those pics because I agree that it won't be matte in production it will have a clear coat and therefore be glossy. Even in those pics I hate swp, just not as much as I do in person

Personally I think standard whites how off lines well, usually dark colors hide them IMO.

I think so I don't remember what year it was but I think that's the first time Subaru start using that paint.

And the 86/gt86 shown back in late nov. I fully expect the frs to have it. If the frs has Aspen and the Toyota and Subaru have swp I'd be annoyed.

Dave is correct, >MY06 is swp...

took me a while to track down an aw sti w/o dealer-installed options back in late-06; soon after i found out they are getting rid of the color...

"pseudo-white"

The 2006 and older sti's aspen white is a Awesome color, I wish the FR-S, BRZ was this white.

The 07+ Satin-white pearl, Im not a huge fan of.

Those pics above, the satin white pearl is feeding off those Cooler(More White/blue, less yellow) Showroom lights, and Gives the Pearl a Pale looking Sheen.

On the Street though, Feeding off the Sun, that SWP Appears to have a VERY Beige tone to it, it's a turn off for me personally.

I really hope it's not the "Traditional" SWP, but it wouldn't make business sense.

my nissan silvia was almost exactly this color... it's pretty much the reason I ordered both an frs/brz swp. Can't wait to see it in person.

With that paint job I'd want flat black wheels to go with it.

I put money down on a FR-S pre-order in White, Now I'm hearing its going to be satin(just rumours far as I know).

I just want to clarify if this is the case or not, no one.

If its Satin Finish I want to change my pre-order to the orange or black.
The FR-S Whiteout is SWP

^ x2, pretty close. I would imagine there to be difference in the color options between FR-S and BRZ but also to share some. Whatever I just want the car
