So the real question is for the people that already have these: Are you going to keep them this way and drive them like that next year?
That extra 1° of negative camber in the front makes a decent enough difference. I'd really hate to see protests getting thrown around all season against people that continue to use the CS illegal version of the Koni's but I also understand how dumb it is to buy something and then have it be confirmed illegal later.

For those worrying about costs to bring their struts to CS compliance, you can easily order a custom step spacer from a company like Misumi:
Here is one I quickly configured. Costs is about $23 each with a fairly short lead time. Install would require a bit of shaving around one of the strut mounting holes to get to 16.5, but we are only talking about .1mm of material diameter. You might even be able to just press it in depending on your actual measurements. (For this part, Flange Thickness is 1mm, 19mm Diameter, bushing is 16.5mm OD, 14mm ID, Overall length is 4.5mm). Koni Strut flange is roughly 5mm thick. Just one of the many low costs and easy solutions to consider...YMMV |

Well I WAS going to get the Koni full replacements this offseason and just set the camber to -1.5 but now this pops out.
Just another nail in the coffin for my BRZ. |

Koni has responded with some great news for those with full stock replacement struts and looking to become compliant

So essentially... get the spacers in ASAP and bring your alignment sheets to nationals this year?

Glad Koni stepped up, lol I still remember being essentially told to STFU and drop it when I brought it up purely for the reason that the camber change was visually obvious. Next step would be to simply allow the BRZ to be competitive in C-street again and allow TRD parts.

This needs to happen. People were rumoring a twin-spec street class where limited prep would be available to both cars and they wouldn't compete in CS. I'd prefer to just give the BRZ the TRD parts and stay in CS, but the FRS and BRZ need to have the same prep rules. Anyone in the know have any idea what's going on for 2016?

I don't see it happening. From the Dec Fastrack...
#17835 BRZ-FRS Twins Under the current wording of port installed options, the SAC cannot make an exception for the BRZ to install the TRD springs and bars. If you make this exception to the rules you'd have a zillion letters coming in asking for similar "exceptions". "Me too, me too!!" Jeff |

Hey guys. I'm having a hard time deciding between 225 and 245 section width for C-Street. My friend ran 245s last year and he seemed to do fine. Is there any benefit to one over the other? I imagine I'd obviously get a bit more ultimate lateral grip out of 245s, but I'm wondering whether it might be a bit too much tire, and whether a 225 will be more... "nimble..." for lack of a better word?

Also, I wrote a letter a month or so ago requesting that the non-TRD FR-S and all BRZs get moved to DS, and the TRD FR-S would remain in CS. The letter was read and said it should be addressed in a future FasTrack. I already did the springs, so I'm going to be in CS no matter what... but perhaps this might get things a little more even for the non-TRD cars? |

This will be on stock 17x7 wheels for me. So it sounds like 225 might be a better alternative? I don't want to put something too fat on the car. I'm coming from a year of doing autocross on the stock Primacys, so anything will be a big improvement, lol.
