You should! Post your idea, road, date & time. If you're not too familiar with the roads, many people here are so join in.

Thanks! I will! Hope its not too muddy, already top heavy enough as it is, don't wanna slip and fall on my ass onto some sharp rocks, lol
How was the backpacking? Hope the weather wasn't a downer.

If I get done what I want to get done by Friday (if I'm lucky Thursday), how about that halo halo run for lunch?

Mines Rd looks like a walk in the park compared to Stage Rd!

Maybe it's just how it looks on video though. Sometimes with videos it's hard to get a correct sense of speed.

Mines is a mixed bag. Some parts like what I show in the video are fairly high speed gentle sweepers, good visibility, smooth pavement. Other parts are more like Stage Rd... tight narrow road, no lane divider for two way traffic, blind corners. You have to drive those parts conservatively and thus they are not included in the video (boring to watch me drive slowly hah). Generally though it's a great road, less bumpy than Stage Rd. But the same safety advisories apply.

oh here is parts 2 and 3 (these just show the higher speed, two-lane portions) of the Mines Rd drive.

Backpacking at Henry Coe was great, good weather, sunny enough but not too much to get burnt with a slight breeze to cool you off. If you ever get a chance, you should try the Henry Coe back country activities. My wife and I did this one:

http://coepark.net/pineridgeassociat...d-fishing-tour

Took the Outback on some light off roading, then back packed and fished at a couple lakes.

Thurs lunch would work for sure, Fri might be a little iffy.

Back on topic, just like @PMok said, some stretches are nice, but some are pretty gnarly like Stage Rd. There are some spots with dips (makes a good "water splash" section to get my "rally" on, lol) and some cattle guards that could get you airborne/shaken pretty good if you're not careful. Like always, if you're gonna hit it up, drive within your comfort zone and be safe

I'm itching for another drive this weekend! And I don't think it's supposed to rain, right? Anyone else free for a drive Saturday or Sunday morning?
