When I was 17 I took my gf to an Iron Maiden concert. It was magical. A memory for life. And everyone there had long hair, denim and black leather.

Since then I've seen many great acts. Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd, Deep Purple, Metallica, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Roger Waters, and so on.

Now several decades after that Maiden concert, I went with friends to check out Volbeat.

The seat was uncomfortable, the beer was warm and flat and the crowd all looked like schoolteachers on family outings. I yawned my way through.

I'm getting too old for this shit

Volbeat sucks. Period. They've managed to take the soundscape of rebellious discontent and turn it into a soulless, family friendly, consumer product.

I'm sure the TV ad didn't make this look nearly as useful as it really is, and probably very comedic.

Unfortunately there are a lot of people that do not have the mobility for one reason or another to be able to do this themselves (and only a few of them have to do with being overweight).

For example, my father-in-law had to use a similar device for about 6 months after having surgery to his hips where he was not allowed to bend down.

Nope, instead I got into it with her mom today about buying furniture for the apartment.

Imagine my shock when I wasn't allowed any input for what we bought (whether furniture or decor) and then had to pay a $640 bill for everything we were allowed to get.

Imagine the shock when the time comes to get married and you are not allowed any input on the house purchase.

The docs wanted me to consider surgery, possibly to fuse vertebrae... PT didn't help that last bit (when I went in to start PT I couldn't touch my knees) but I found some exercises that got me there. I now do yoga every day to keep the strength and flexibility, but if I'd had that surgery, I might need this magic device...
I'm struggling with this now. Haven't lost flexibility but went the PT route and have recovered somewhat. I need to stick with the exercises. Yoga? I've heard it helps a lot.

That stick they show being used to hold back the frame also slips between sock and calf. Those wings stay outside the sock and pull it down. Sort of a reverse shoehorn. I bet they'll sell like hotcakes.
