Well, at least they did back when i knew about NASCAR. 10 years ago.

That's mostly because the cams that they run have them pegged at 9k making 900+hp for hours at a time.

I know a couple of builders are using R07s in pro-touring builds. They swap the cams out for something much more mild, winding out to maybe 7k and not nearly the crazy lift. At that point, they're just very overbuilt small blocks.

It looks like the car is being built for Drift in which case they should have put a LS in it. At least one FR-S drifter went with the TRD V8 initially and then switched to the LS. It is simply a better, tried and true torque monster.

Why put a GM engine when you can put a Toyota engine in to a Toyota car?

Do you only use Intel graphics in your high-spec gaming computer with an Intel CPU? Doubtful.

Do you only put HK accessories on your Heckler & Koch rifle's Picatinny rails? Also doubtful.

Every other hobby I know where performance matters, no one gives two shits about mixing products from different manufacturers, but car people always get butthurt about it. It just boggles my mind.

I am no fan of the LFA but they have already ruined it so they might as well use a superior engine.

Wow.

Those cars look awful in yellow. (Yes, I know BBC TopGear said the exact opposite. I don't care)

The only thing I like about that is you'd be able to hear the exhaust better. :-)

Sweet, I hope they make more of these.

Not the fastest or the cheapest car, but bad ass nonetheless.

This forum especially should value "experience cars" over "numbers cars".

I wonder if it's just this car with a new paint job.
