Looks good!....

Is the CF hood lighter? If so, by how much?

Or did you just want louvers?

The hood is definitely lighter. Weight wise I'm not sure since I didn't weigh it on a scale. But when installing you feel the difference how light it is.

Drove her 300km today

I also noticed that when the ac is on and you shift to neutral at like 60-80 km/h that you would hear a ticking noise or rattling noise from the engine just like when you turn off the car.
( quick 2 seconds engine tick or rattle, thats normal when you turn off the car)

Wanted to know if its normal to do that on neutral .

Note: it does not do it when the ac is off for some reason

Thanks guys

I drove it home from her first road trip. Stop for gas on the way home to arkansas from Texas and was pumping the gas when a father and son walks by, the son looks up at the dad and says look it's a racing car and the dad just nods his head. Same gas station as my story on Friday. Seriously I don't think that town has ever seen one before
Forgot to include, ethanol free gas only and there's only one station in my path which just so happens to be almost halfway.

I finally got around to washing and cleaning the car myself by hand (previously cleaned at a dealer and in a carwash). There is something quite satifying about the 1st time you clean a car thouroughly by hand for the 1st time...carressing those curves....hmmmm

Dazza-I love the feeling. Got home to late today to wash it after my road trip and I'm all giddy that I get to wash it by hand tomorrow and I have all day to do it.

Do you feel your car runs better, faster, further, on ethanol free gas?

In these parts, after 5,500 some miles and 4 months, I've only seen 2 other FR-S/BRZs (excluding on dealer lots).

It's not unusual to have people walking around my FR-S, looking closely at it. .....

Kinda makes me feel ....special ...

This is common. When the compressor clutch is engaged the idle dips to just
above 500 rpm. What you are hearing is the ECU sensing low idle and boosting the output momentarily. Toyobaru should send out a flash to fix this but I would not hold my breath.

Hum - I have found it runs better on 91 ethanol free but even better on 93 ethanol free. Not to mention I get better mpg with it. Also, I don't want to take a chance of ethanol ruining my fuel tank
