Read the Rpf1 thread. 17x9+35 and 17x9 +45 are some of the most popular sizes. Lots of good info on how to make them fit. http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=58908p, |

Like I mentioned for the +35, you will have around 10mm of clearance, +45 is 10mm difference aka 0 clearance. |

went through the wheel tire directory and i think i should be ok on stock height with 18x9.5 with a 40 off set with out needing a space. i was thinking of running a 235/40 or 245/40 all around and i should still be ok. any sugestions would be great also

Hi all
I'm looking to pick up some new wheels and tires for my new 2017 brz. Im new to modding cars, but I've been reading up on different mods, tunes and upgrades. sorry if my question is noobie. I am planning on lowering the car by 1" at a later date(dunno exact parts yet) and upgrading to a bigger brake kit. I've been looking through the wheel fitment guide to answer my question but I can't seem to parse it. Can a squared set of Forgestar F14 18x9 wheels on 235/40 Michelin pilot super sport fit on a stock brz without the need of rolling fenders or changing camber or the wheels hitting the strut or tires rubbing? If so, at which offset (these are a custom order so I can get any offset between +20 to +55). As long as the wheels are nearly flush(+/- 10mm), I am ok. I am looking to be able to just pop these onto my brz and go with no issues. If that's not possible with the above set of wheels, would 8.5" wide squared wheels work? Thanks in advance! I wanted to do 235/40 because when I saw it in pictures, the tire seems to be perfectly flush with the wheel and I like how it looked: However, is that OD too far from manufacturer spec sheet it would set some sensor off or cause other issues? EDIT: my mistake, this is actually an 18"x8.5 wheel in the front with 235/40 tires. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk Last edited by boateye; 11-14-2016 at 11:04 AM. |
