So generally, you'd see the turbo reaching peak boost in 1st and 2nd gear around 3000-3500 (assuming you even have time to pay attention), then dropping to 3000 in 3rd, then 2500-2800 in 4th, then even quicker in 5th/6th.
I do have noticed that the response in 6th is so instant.

I would hope so! I was really happy to the read the post that Visconti saved your engine, considering I plan on DIY'ing it as well it's nice to have extra safety incase I F something up, does AVO's basemap come with boost cut? Also do you have a DIY on the motor mounts? I wasn't planning On changing them but based on a couple posts, it would be a good idea since my goal is 260-270whp, may as well do it while the car is half apart, how much are the motor mounts btw?

I also plan on retrofitting some HID's, should I wait until my turbo is installed so the ballasts and wiring don't get in the way?

Yeah Visconti was effing awesome. I believe AVO's stage two map does come with overboost protection.

I don't have a DIY on the mounts, but its very straight foward once you are under the car, remove each side nut, lifts the car, unbolt the OEM mounts, haggle them out of there, and bolt the new ones in. Cusco-Perrin run about $250-$360.

I don't think the ballast and wires will get on the way of the Turbo IC piping, since it goes on the side of the headlights.

Edit: @Brody602, look at this thread. http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=33641

You are one lucky guy! I'm not quite ready to take the plunge yet, but when I do, I'll be going AVO also.

Thx for the thread. Being new to the modding scene, there's definitely lots to learn.
