How do you change cals? I missed that one! ETA: Assuming a new ECU.

OFT does not allow you to change rom type or upgrade a stock calibration, for that you need to go to dealer or use tactrix/ecuflash

Kinda true... the OTS maps are built off the newest ROM, but tweaked to work like it's stock. So I'm running a 700c ROM (OLD!), but it's based off the A01C ROM (unless it was updated again to a newer one).

True, but the oft will return you to your original rom cal if you unmarry. and you carnt jump to the new b01c series rom either.

The 700c to a01c was just a couple of parameter changes the b01c is complete structure change for some reason.

I have the OFH, OFT stage 2 with the q300 which is a very quiet exhaust system. I hardly ever hear it.. go stage 2 if you hate the sound

I used Tatrix, ECUFLASH, and TD-D's rom&dev posts. I held my breath thru the flash but it went well and going from the original calib to the 2014 is like night and day. I almost feel comfortable reving this engine now, they (OEM's) had to have done some behind the scenes improvements.

I'll need ECUFlash and the Open Port, correct? Can you provide a link to the ROM's?

I added ROMs (well B01C and A01G) at end of the Tactrix info post

yea you have to install the official ecuflash first , update your openport stuff, then install the beta over top. All in all it took me about 6 hrs to figure it out, less time than I have spent haggling with the dealer.

Th VVT noise is gone, but understand I went from the very first 2012 calib which we all know was junk.

Sanity check, then. If I use the ECUFlash to flash the latest B01C ROM, I can still use the OFT as well, correct? I'd zero the OFT and read the B01C from the car. IIRC, though, the ECUFlash will do just about any ROM, and is NOT idiot (moslty) proof.

Am I close?
