I'll answer my own question for others. I talked to the registrar for the event (Carrie) and she said if you have sufficient driving experience they'll first put you out on the track with an instructor to get signed off and then from there you should be able to go solo in group 3.

I'm registered for the event now.

Sorry, didn't get email notification about your question. If you can be put into the advanced group, I don't believe you need an instructor.

I signed up as a volunteer this time but should still get some driving time towards the end of the day.

See you there! I'll either be in a BRZ or a yellow ITR. Depends on which car I'm feeling that morning

@transition, are you going to BIR on June 7-8? Looks like my friend won't be going and I'd like to split hotel cost if possible. I might not go if I'm just going by myself.

I decided not to do BIR in June. I'll be going to Road America with the ITR Expo instead from June 30 - July 1st.

Not yet. Seems like the majority will be camping, and I'll probably do the same. Just keep an eye on the Expo thread and see what people say.

Is there an official thread here or are you referencing over at the ITR Expo site?

Planning the usual MAP weekend to watch the kids play. The 7/8th are bracket racing. You talking about watching or running?

So I flashed crawford's stage 1 ecutek tune and flushed my tank with e85, filled it up a second time and was finally able to get on it. All I can say is wow! Runs super smooth and has a noticeable amount of torque down low. My only gripe is I now have crickets :/
