Going to look at a turbo kit this weekend. If all goes well i'm probably going to buy it.

It will take every ounce of willpower I have to hold off on installation until the spring....

I just learned that the car has a telescopic steering wheel function! Thanks to M3 and S2000, I am programmed to think that I can't adjust my steering wheel. Needless to say, I'm a pretty stoked and boarder line fanboying. Reminds me of when I found the "secret compartment" in the AP1.

Who knows what other secrets hide within that steel shell?

Am doing my annual self appraisal and one of the questions is "Do you feel you have sufficient time to complete your projects?"
I don't know how to answer this.

if for whole system I would just take the hit for the extra 100$

It's a powered sub. Just a PWA-S10V. Lowest price from an authorized dealer is 399. 240-265 from elsewhere.

I figure if the individual components fail, I could probably buy a spare mono amp or a spare subwoofer for the price difference.

I concur. But then my track record with sub woofers is not stellar so would want all the support I can get.

Yeah, I'm usually of a buy once, cry once sort of mentality, but the price differential is a little confounding.

If you have to ask then you should probably go with the authorized installer. In all reality though, wiring up audio is pretty much a cakewalk in terms of difficulty, so my personal recommendation would be to save your money on the install put that towards a Diamond sub that you install yourself.

Just my $.02
