I guess I don't have too much to worry about since I'm just trying to be fast regionally. I have no aspiration to go to nationals.
You do have Ric to deal with in CS locally. I can guarantee you if any of the TRD parts improve the car he will get them. Who knows who else may pop up with the TRD parts as well.

True. If I want it bad enough and if the FRS and BRZ stay in CS even with TRD parts, I suppose I could either trade/buy an FRS or move to STX. It just needs to be a Monogram - I can't stand the standard FRS seat material.

Can BRZs be CS-legal if they have a full Scion FRS conversion?

Both Ric and Jonathan still hold a consistent 1-1.5 second lead over me. I doubt that even if I had a TRD-equipped FRS I could get into their range.

It's almost like last year's local STX field when the Tsangs show up - third place is the new first place.

Good question. I kind of doubt it. I think ultimately the VIN would be what sinks that.

But, exploring that for a bit, you should look into the rules on option package conversion, which is what is keeping the springs legal for those of us that didn't order them that way. If that were legal, you'd need to convert everything. Bumpers, headlights, badges, stereo, full interior, seats, etc... Gets to be a big pile of time and money.

I guess? If you strip the BRZ down to the frame and add on everything that's from an FRS, sure. You'd have to change EVERYTHING the FRS has. It might make more financial sense to just sell the BRZ for an FRS, though.

You may be able to catch up to Ric and Jonathan. You just need to step up your game!

CS is shaping up to be a pretty sweet class that event.

The more people I can drag into that class the better chance I have of getting a trophy despite a mediocre finishing spot.
I think you talked me into it. The after work nighttime drive is only 7 hours or so. Maybe I can even sleep for a couple hours before heading to the competition.

I went ahead and picked this up because I think it might help me with the burnouts. I see a lot of guys at events with them so I figure it must be the cool thing to do.

Depends on your region, I'll almost guarantee every car in socal in CS that can be on the springs will be on them by the end of next month or so. Mine are going on this weekend, event next weekend. I've had the bars on the car for the last week and it is definitely better.

Today was a really fun day of racing at the College Station Champ Tour! I should have been shifting to third and pushed a little harder.

It was nice meeting the CS crew. Tomorrow's course looks really fun depending if it's still raining and there are still lakes to drive thru on course.

Looks like an FRS is leading CS by .609, is he running the TRD springs/bars?

Dave, did you go with 225 or 245 with the RE71? Looking forward to seeing the final results after tomorrow.

Cool, yeah I priced MCS, but I'm on a Koni budget. Car feels great with the new bars/springs/konis. Practice and event next weekend.
