Impressions after about 900 miles.
No regrets, would do again. The weakest link is the mylink nav unit, which is still actually pretty damn good, just a touch laggy. The magride is great, exhaust great, power is plenty for legal roads, brakes feel good, interior is solid and quiet, mpg is as expected for an lsx |

Good choice. I had a soft spot for the '04-'06 GTO. Which was just a rebadged Holden Monaro. For some unknown reason, I wanted one but their high price dissuaded me from ever trying to buy one.
I see a couple (SS) around town and I just can't stop staring at that rear with the SS logo. |

In the last month i had a chance to pick up some square 18x9.5 tires with used 265/35 pss which got me away from the oem 19" and staggered fitment.
Of course this meant some negative camber, rolled rear fenders, and lowering springs in order to not be a mexiflush 4x4. The wider/grippier tires up front helped enormously with steering feel. The numbness and unresponsiveness complained about in interviews is essentially gone. Took it to cones the first week I had the car while still bone stock. The oem re050a tires were an issue, but otherwise I was actually impressed with how the car felt, it stayed composed the entire time. Not terrible for a 4,000 lb sedan. Overall, I'm still happy as a pig dipped in shit with it. Everything is as expected or better in a good way. Minus the mpg which was exactly as shitty as expected (used to have an ls2 gto, still have a c5).
