Save your 2gs and build up enough for good set of coilovers and wheels if you are not tracking the car and want a classy touch.

Save your 2gs and build up enough for a turbo if you want power. I/H/E with tune won't meet your needs in the long term if you're looking for power. I have done in the past with disappointment.

If I was going to spend the 2gs I would be buying the BRZ headlights and Tom's taillights. That's my opinion. Let us know what you end up with. Cheers!

I made an excel for myself to get general costs of a lot of general frs/brz bits. Helped me gain perspective and budget. Maybe it'll help you:

don't waste your money on an intake just get a drop in filter, most of the time stock intakes are the most efficient anyway

Checking account. Savings should be for things like a down payment on a house, or having a 6 month buffer in case you lose your job, and like so.

Thanks for all the negative and positive feedback! Guess I have some thinking and research to do before I drop my cash!

I use a brokerage account for 6 month emergency savings, and long term cash savings in addition to investment planning. I use a bank savings account for short term saving items (like car parts, and home projects) and the only thing in checking is what needs to come out each month for bills and budgeted items (grocery, gas, etc).

I certainly don't agree with everything Dave Ramsey says but I heard him say one time, "Unless you constantly tell your money where to go, you'll always wonder where it went." That's some financial advice I totally agree with.

sorry for getting off topic. that's my bad.

Topic at hand... $2k to spend? I agree with the person earlier who said, keep saving and go forced induction. That's pretty much the only place I'd like to improve on the car but a lot of that is because at high altitude, where I live it really struggles to get enough air.

Then you're lightyears ahead of most people. I salute you, sir.

I would spend 2K on an OFT/OFH, Invidia Q300, RCE Yellows, and wheel spacers. Keep the OEM wheels and tires for now. But then, my end goal for this car isn't too much beyond that point.

I've bought exhaust, oft, ESC in that order. Without a doubt the ESC is the best mod that I could have bought. You can get a OFT and ESC for just over 2k. Dollar for dollar I dont think any combination of mods for 2k would net half the power that thing makes. It's so wonderful and completely removable for dealer visits. Read up on it if you haven't yet.

For $2k, I would put all of it into the car payment. The less I owe, the faster it'll be payed off.

If you really need to spend it on mods, a full exhaust and a tune will do it.

If u want the best value for engine upgrades, oft and ofh but u can do better. For value though, u can't beat oft and ofh. That will be less than 2k though
