42 offset

After shipping, GST, duty, disbursement, etc..

It worked out to $660 per wheel. I also got their 'racing nut' with them aswell
and the hub centric ring also.

Didn't think it would be *that* pricey tho - my first purchase overseas(from Japan) so I didn't account for duty/gst/ and all the other BS charges.
But I suppose it will be the only BRZ/86 in Perth with Weds'

Just got my wheels delivered from DHL couriers 15mins ago

Brand new goodness!! I was suprised how light the boxes were!

Front

Back

Some label

Racing nut

These ones are apparently lightweight, and they certainly feel like it(compared to the 'other' standard racing lugs which I'm used to. They are around the weight of a AAA battery

Oh, I went with 17's so I can retain the 'stock' rolling diameter, plus I don't particularly like the harshess of 18inch wheels(I have 18's on my MX-6, also have ridden on 19s(car has coilovers) on that too, very harsh).

Also I'm going to get the Primacy HP's and the TPMS moved over onto the new rims, and 17's are also lighter than 18s

I'm not sure about the TPMS, but at any rate after my test drive of the car (and acceptance)
Before the delivery, I will request that the dealer swap over the Primacy HP's to the new rims first and the TPMS swapped over. I haven't owned any current model car lately, but I heard that most current model 'sporty' cars do have TPMS?

This thread might have more info: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showt...highlight=tpms

I'll take a side profile pic later on, bit sick atm :/. I'll have to put some teflon polish on the wheels too Also I'll take a pic of the racing nuts on the digital scale, they are ridiculously light.

I was WRONG, the nuts are around the weight of a Double "A" battery, not a Triple "A".

i doubt our cars have TPMS. iirc it's not mandatary to have them here (unlike USA). JDM cars don't have them as well.

I hope so too. It would just mean another thing to worry about. I mean this *is* a drivers car after all. Everyone should be checking their tyre pressures every 4-5 refuel intervals anyway.

based on the pic of the red 86 with Advan RG-D (18x8+45), 17x8+42 should look sweet and can reuse stock 215/45/17. seems like a good upgrade.

can't wait to see it on the car!!

i'm not really good with wheels since i've never bought any, all i know is length . Do you have to worry about width of the wheel as well, like you do with tyres?

yes you do and also offset, PCD and centre bore.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wheel_sizing

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Offset_%28wheel%29

stock wheel is 17x7+48 5x100 65mm (ie. diameter, width, offset, PCD and centre bore). diameter, width and offset may vary. PCD must be the same and centre bore will need adaptor if the wheel is bigger than 65mm.
