Yeah, but what about the i8 versus 2015 FRS Baja edition? I won't make up my mind until Evo comes out with a video.

Better than any E9x and *new* Fxx BMW, I can pretty much guarantee that.

Completely subjective question, everybody is going to view "better handling" in a different way. I came from a 2008 135i, does my BRZ handle better? In some ways yes, in some ways no. The BRZ oversteers too much as opposed to the BMW feeling fairly neutral., but the BMW is much heavier and has a lot of roll, whereas the BRZ corners flat and is more nimble in its direction change. The BRZ has more steering feel and feedback, and is more communicative. With similar tires and stock suspension on both vehicles, I would say the 135i had more mechanical grip and could corner faster, but the BRZ feels better and is more fun in terms of corners.

I dont know how the 125I compares to the 135i other than less power but i definetly feel way more confident in my 86 when cornering and can do corners at higher speeds.. it could be that i cant go all out because it's my brothers 125I but it really feels like a boat to me.

Theres a huge difference. If I drove an Impreza I wouldn't pretend to know how a WRX drove.

For what its worth, my 135i handled pretty well, but the 86 does turns much better.

Yeah k but at 218BHP and a price closer to the 86 i think the 125I Coupe is the more natural competition for the 86 :p and i thought it was pretty much the 1 series chassis that made it more competable with the 86 as my oldest brothers 2009 535I is a Freaking pig compared to my 86 and doesent handle even close to the 86 :p

I've driven a 128i with the M-sport suspension, and I thought it felt very fast and confidence-inspiring. It did feel heavier than the FR-S/BRZ, but certainly not like a boat...

As for the original question? I'd say the FR-S/BRZ handle better than most, but not all BMWs.

My former cars before the 86 were all under 1000kg to me a 125i already felt way to heavy not as bad as my oldest brothers 535i but still even the 86 was heavy to me at first :p my brothers 125i has stock suspension though.
And i agree i think the 86 handles better than most bmws but not all but youl have to pay alot for that level of performance in bmw.

Here is the list that I've driven them all 328i coupe, 335i coupe, 535i sedan, M3 coupe, C55AMG, ISF, & IS350 sport. The twin is hand down the best precise steering and handling car on the market comparable to Cayman per other review. This car have the look and drive like "Sex on Wheels" . You are talking a bare bone race car Vs. other luxury sports.

I totally come from this perspective to. To me the 86 is not light, but light-ish. Heavier stuff is just less stimulating IME.

i have a hunch that at slower speeds the frs will outhandle most bmw offerings but as speeds increase and stability become more an more appreciated, the preference will shift.

The handling is very comparable to an E46 M3, if not better. Driven that car a billion times.

BTW, my friend with an E90 325xi w/ Bilstein Shocks and Lowered on Eibachs... cannot keep up with me in the twisties and I'm on stock suspension with heavier 18's.
