I wave if I'm in the BRZ, give a thumbs up if I'm in the F150 or out running. I figure the enthusiasts will acknowledge me, the others...doesn't matter

@WolfpackS2k where in NC are you ? I'm just outside of charlotte and have only seen 2 or 3 in my area but I always get a nod and wave !!

I've been waved at a couple of times and returned it except for the first time. I was really confused the first time. I ride a motorcycle so I knew about the bike wave and had heard about the Jeep Wrangler wave, but I didn't realize any other cars did that.

I live in Raleigh, but my parents live in Ballentyne down in Charlotte so I'm occasionally down there

I always make an effort to wave to fellow 86 drivers. I feel ya though, I've been ignored a couple times. I also flash my lights if I'm on the opposite side of the highway. I really thought this car only attracted enthusiasts. Apparently, I was wrong.

Yeah its pretty much dead around here too even though Ive seen atleast 5 non stock 86s just drivin around. The Vdubbers have it easy and just chuck a V at other modded VWs and get it right back without hesitation...then again that scene has been around for 30 years. We need something that simple and catchy

I'm not usually in my 86 but I have waved or paced and gave a thumbs up to 1-2 people in BRZs when I see them on the road and I always get a funny look back. Like I'm odd for saying hey.

I think most people just don't pay any attention to anything other than whats 10ft directly in front of them. I constantly wave at fellow FRS/BRZers only half the time I get a reply back.

I feel the exact same. I think only 2 thus far have ever waived back.

Im located in the Socal area, I always try to wave, or even give a simple smile and nod. I get more from 240sx owners than FRS owners.

I'm in Durham and have had mixed reactions as well. Passed a red FR-S on Hwy 54 a couple months back...we both waved and when he caught up at light, we spoke through open windows. Cool guy.

Have seen or passed by a couple BRZs on the road and given the thumbs up and gotten blank stares.
