Manual. But if the car had a double clutch trans and not a auto/tip I would have bought that. It's surprising that Hyundai offers a double clutch in their Velositer and Toyota does not.

I'm guessing the poll will show more auto anyways since only 700 m/t and rest 1800 are a/t

Double clutch aren't superior to torque converter automatics. The lockup clutch in the torque converter essentially acts as one of the clutches in a double clutcher.

It may surprise you to learn that the torque converter automatics are a bit lighter and much stronger than the equivalent sized DCT.

Offhand, it seems that maybe all sequential car race transmissions are clutched and operated either pneumatically or electrically like the mega torque R18's. Wouldn't you think they'd spec the lightest, strongest transmissions available, or are there other considerations like packaging and cooling?

It's looking like Scion made 50% of them in manuals and the other 50% in automatics based on the voting.

this 10 series is my first auto in 15 yrs. love it. the last 15have been all subie manuals, a legacy and an STI.
it's great, I have to deal with stop n go traffic, and if I feel like cruising, the AT is awesome. remember, it's still a 6speed!

We have two... One of each

My wife's is an automatic, mine manual. We decided if we take a long trip or trip to a large metropolitan area we'll take her car. For me, driving around these crooked mountain roads, I prefer my stick!

Even though I bought a manual the automatic does have paddles and gets better mileage.

Automatic Transmission:
S Florida has lots of stop & go traffic
Paddle shifters smooth & faster than human IMHO
Many race cars are auto transmission
Better gas mileage
