If you're up for it, try posting a clip showing the difference between clutch pedal pressed versus released. I'm inclined to agree with your concern because you observe the noise only while you are pressing the pedal. My transmission is slutty so the noise stops when I disengage the clutch. That's a whole different thing. It has been more than a week since you first mentioned the issue. It can be sneaky but if the TOB is going, it'll get bad enough to be obvious. Hopefully between being obvious and seizing/fragging, it'll give you enough time to get to the shop. Keep us posted.
