Then, if you use the EVAP soleniod line for boost control, that is a second system that will show "Not ready"....

So how do you get around this in GA? (Having two systems not ready for OBD2 yearly test)

My friend managed to pass emissions without his cats in his s2000. not sure how lol.

I used to reset the ecu in early obd2 cars so it would force the tailpipe test. Then id dump isopropyl alcohol in the tank and pass everytime

You realize 98% of cars will pass without cats right? All it takes is for the tester to not look under the car, and to use one if the "tricks" to fool the ecu into thinking it's there. (Much like how we use an extended o2 well on aftermarket headers.)

Also, as far as what counties DO require emissions. It's mainly any within proximity to downtown Atlanta. Mine(douglasville) requires it, but Carroll(literally 20 miles down the street) does not.

Sorry sir, I did not know that. Especially since my county does not require emissions, thus I've never had to test any of my cars.

Is one system allowed not be ready like in other states? Or all systems are required to be ready?
AFAIK, it has to show all ready. but @J_kennington may know more about it than I do. :p

Cobb County does require emissions.. What county is your car registered in?

If you live and registered in Marietta...you have to have emissions. Granted, we have 3 years from DOB to have to get it on our twins(in otherwords, a 2012 needs it's first emissions in 2015, a 2013 will need first emissions in 2016)

The ONLY reason I know 2 can be "not ready" is because my buddy has ran a station for 3 years now. The "not ready" fail is mainly in effect for the people who know they have a CEL, pull into the parking, clear the code, and try to get it tested.

If you know the right people and have some $ anything is possible.

I know someone who has a car all suspensions is fucked (every bump is hard metal to metal sound), ran out of oil once, all kinds of codes, etc etc lolol

Anyway they knew someone, left the car with them and they got a pass. I think it cost them 200$?

Not sure how that thing is still working to be honest but more power to them. The oil pressure warning beeps every 2 minutes when driving it, I'd go crazy personally.

I'm guessing it was also an obd1 vehicle?

Just saw this thread.

I failed a test in my FXT because the OBD2 readiness for the O2 sensor was not complete. I'm not sure where the rule is about you are okay with 2 sensors being not ready but I'm not sure that's true.

I'm not sure what Ecutek can do as far as the readiness state goes. In the past just turning off the DTC wasn't enough to pass emissions because you'd still fail the readiness check.

CPC you could always just reconnect the stock CPC and run WG boost until emissions was done. O2 sensor would be a little more difficult unless you had a catted front pipe and even then I'm not sure it would pass. GA has no visual inspection so as long as the plug-in check passes you are good to go.
