With 19" Gram Lights 57Xtreme on our project car, we have no problems with the 6-piston Brembo kit. You're likely going to need 18" minimum to clear the edges. The 4-piston Brembo kit may be possible on 17" wheels. However Vivid Racing has the brake diagrams that can be given to any wheel manufacturer. This will enable them to determine if fitment is possible on your specific setup.

Quick question, are the Brembo GT kits a generic kit, or are they specific to the FR-S/BRZ?

No, the BBK would need spacers to fit OEM wheels in their 4 piston option to clear
