Really? It's relatively expensive to do, I dunno. I have never seen a matte paint car on the road. I think matte metallic finish is ridiculously good looking, based on photos lol. If I got paint protection I'd go with the 3m matte one.

I'd imagine the paint would be super hard to keep clean, but I've never owned a matte paint car before. Honestly, I think it looks too try-hard.

I dunno, I think it adds another dimension to the look. If they had the FT86 original concept paint in gloss, I think I would take that over a matte gray. I saw a Gallardo in this brilliant pearl orange (yea I know weird color lol) and it was stunning in its own right. But most car paints just aren't really special.

I would seriously consider white if it came in a satin or matte pearl. It would add an extra dimension to the car's visual presence. Makes it a little more *stand out* compared to the other standard paints and white is the safest color to do this in so it remains tasteful.

If it's standard white, I'd go for BRZ WRB.

Subaru's Black is much harder to clean than the white, trust me I had to keep clean a 2008 STI for months. It's really annoying, If I can avoid it I never get a black car. I suppose only on a whim and good price. Definitely choose white over it, but it's so common. It's EVERYWHERE @__@

My sentiments exactly. SWP with a nice matte, or good ol' WRB!

My 2005 Legacy GT was Satin White Pearl. It has a glossy clearcoat.

It's not a "satin" finish, as in paint you buy at Lowes to paint the walls and trim in your house.

If you want to see what SWP looks like, there are thousands of Subarus on the road in this color, including the Legacy, Imprezza, and Forester.

SWP is straight up ugly IMO. I wish they painted the BRZ in Aspen white instead. First non white car Ive looked at buying in years.

I'll have the see the white on the car. I don't like it on the Imprezas. I like the pearl white on my 4Runner, but I'm afraid it won't work on the FR-S/BRZ. I had some satin black wheels on my Candy White GTI and really liked the combo.

This thread could use more pics.

I'm fairly certain this will be the production paint used on the 86 and BRZ. I'm not completely certain on the Scion FR-S as we haven't seen any white FR-S live photos. But from a production cost standpoint it makes sense to use the same white across all makes if Toyota and Subaru already implement it.
