On another note, my tire pressure gauge is on and the pressure is fine, and its started very rough a couple of time since my first fill up yesterday. I used shell Vpower 91 octane gas, so maybe that explains the rough starts? Not something you like to see a few days after driving it off the lot, but dont take this as someone whining, because I still love this car almost more than life itself! Just a few hiccups is all...
I would suggest turning the key to ON for a few seconds before turning over the motor. This has resolved my rough start which would actually fail to turn over from time to time. Also, if you have a battery tester, check your battery. I have had mine replaced once under warranty.

Another trick I have learned is to allow the motor to high idle from start until it starts to drop on its own. I also had the low rev dip issue and letting the motor idle until the RPMs dropped solved that issue as well.

Thanks I'll definetely give that all a try, because like yourself it almost border line has not turned over twice now, but then seems to fire up with absolutely no issue the following start up.

Not sure if you're aware of the rpm dip issue.

I experience that once in a while, but it doesn't stall.
I'll take my car to dealer when it's time for oil change. I believe they do some type of reflash to fix the idle issue.

Another route is to get it tuned. I think they set the idle rpm a bit higher, so it doesn't drop.

If one got an AT it's because the God's decided that, that is why the AT has snow mode or as AT owners call it... "AWD MODE"

Must be weird to own a Subaru BRZ and press the snow button, sounds like a sin.

I do not, however, understand the difference between the VSC sport, traction off, etc. I know if you press the traction control (or whatever the left button is) once, it does something. If you hold it for 5 seconds it does something else. If you press the VSC sport button it also does something. I have no idea what any of it actually is, just that they all change or disable various systems. I'm sure it's in the manual, but I haven't bothered to look yet.

That would be nice if they could. I have a bit of an off idle stumble occaisionally, and I'm pretty sure bumping the idle from 650 to 750-800 would cure it. I stopped by the dealer yesterday hoping to speak to a tech on that very subject. I didn't have time to wait, but the service writer said no can do. Can anyone confirm this?

You buy a $25,000 machine and you can't read the manual? Have you no shame?

Forgive me if I've had the car for 3 days, and in between working, sleeping and of course driving, I havent had the time to fully read the book yet.

I was fully under the impression that there was a "snow" mode on this car before I bought it (from Scion website pictures), so it really didnt even cross my mind that this was a AT feature only. I saw it right away in the first pages of the manual, which confirmed the button existed in my mind. You have to read much further into the book to figure out that this is an AT exclusive.

And just for the record, definitely not too worried about having no snow mode, just would have been pissed I didnt get a feature everyone else did.
