Lol. I still havent clayed my car even though it really really needs it (I park under trees). A buddy just sent me a link to a claybar mitt that clays as you wash. Think Im gonna use that from now on every 3-6 months once I get around to actually claying the damn thing

claying is not the way to remove tree sap. I would use a adhesive remover or something like that to get that off. A claybar is used to remove fallout that settles in the paint and starts to rust making little brown spots on the car.

I am not sure I like your logic.... but I guess you could think of it that way? and if its not a big mod it was sure expensive as hell! I think it should be a big mod if it has to be a mod

bird poop will etch the paint and once that happens there is no way to fix it other then repainting the car.

Yeah. I should get better about that. Ran out of quick detailer a few months ago and never got a new bottle

If I ever planned on selling my car maybe I would care more. Actually, no I wouldn't lol

Not all expensive mods are big and not all cheap mods are small.

Depends on what the bird eats as much as anything. Seagull shit requires immediate attention. Sparrow shit can stay there for weeks.
And Finch shit well....

If you're not inclined to put a lot of effort into it, I'd probably use the clay mitt, and then finish with something like the Meguiar's cleaner wax. It's an all-in-one, so it's not particularly good at anything, but it'll at least clean up stains in the paint.
