Installed STI motor mounts and took out the torque solutions mounts. So much quieter. Feels OEM, very happy

Full Exterior detail with ceramic coating.

The car is sitting in my friend's garage for a couple days to cure.

I'm also planning on replacing my perrin engine mounts with the sti mounts. After about 3-4 years on them, it's gotten annoying.

Go through Nengun, I got mine for like $230 shipped or something and they came quick

Sounds like the voice of experience. Do you do private parties?

Yeah, most reasonable option to get back on the road seems to be to order an oem shortblock, going to do that today, pull engine over the weekend, hopefully back together by next weekend. Disassemble short block at leisure and see if it’s salvageable to hold onto as a spare. Smells like the typical #3 crank bearing failure, engine died as I was getting my time slip after my 4th autox run, data shows it was pulling power during that run.

Sketchy ‘junkyard’ engines are $3-$4k, slightly less sketchy jdm engines are like $5-6k and my time is cheap right now because I quit my job.

I'm two months into a 2gr-fe rebuild. Timing cover is going back on tonight. Only way to be sure is to DIY. Good luck! Keep us posted.
