Kid in our ground school just got recycled 2 weeks because he got sic and missed 3 days.. Tested negative but he says he cant smell or taste. Took a second test after a more appropriate amount of time we'll see what those results are. I appreciate him staying in the hotel but at the same time that kind of sucks for him. Might just be the flu anyway. He is fully vaccinated... I feel like God is just trying to prove that our science sucks...

He does ssmoke outside only. I'll mention something about the mask though.

Also, feel pretty energetic today. I have my appetite back. Still have SOME sinus pressure and a sore throat, but otherwise feel pretty good. I did experience something wacky last night though. Went for a drive through the mountains and the elevation change caused my ears to pop. But they didn't so I had a bunch of pressure built up. It was bizarre.

If you have access to altenative media, then you will already know the Soylent Green is being stockpiled as this pandemic runs. The shelf life is pretty long and it will used for the famine that will be staged at some point after they are done staging this pandemic.

This is probably old hat to you, but your messed up sinuses have probably plugged your eustachian tubes. My sinuses are a wreck and I get the same thing pretty frequently. I'll sneeze and my ears pop and afterward they don't re-equalize and my hearing is muffled. If I get any sort of cold/sinus/ear infection it can take weeks to get them to clear. And if I have to fly over that period it's like someone driving an ice pick through my head. Usually it's on descents but sometimes both up and down.

Yeah I've never had that happen before. But I've also never lived at any sort of altitude. Mind you where I'm at isn't very high, but it's enough for me to recognize.

It's not so much the altitude at which you live, but the magnitude and speed of any changes.

A cousin of mine ended up retiring from the Air Force when he developed a sinus issue that kept his sinuses and ears from equalizing. At the time he was instructing in T-38s and after a training flight, the student might be up front barfing up his intestines but they'd have to climb back up to altitude so my cousin could clear his sinuses. Surgery didn't fix it and he retired rather than fly a desk.

I hear it's pretty good with margarine and salt or cream cheese and jam.

That can linger for weeks or months after you have recovered from COVID and you are negative. I know one person where it has been six weeks and his taste is still not right (well, he's never dressed well, but I mean sense of taste).

My son, on the other hand, who only had the symptom of loss of taste and smell, recovered in less than 5 days.
